For
more than 30 years I've worked as a writer of grants, direct
mail and print publications, and as a fundraising consultant.
My clients have included hospitals, universities, colleges,
disabilities organizations, youth groups, and a wide variety
of other nonprofit organizations. I've designed fundraising
and communications campaigns and raised tens of millions of
dollars. I've written and edited annual reports, case statements,
brochures, strategic plans, press releases,
assisting in raising funds for capital campaigns, research,
special projects, and new services. My experience also includes
volunteer training, major gift development, and donor databases.
I even once assisted in the writing of an Academy Award-nominated
documentary film.
I'm
also the author of three books of poetry and numerous published
articles, essays and stories. (You can find out more about
my creative writing at Poetry
