The leading American authority on grant funding sources, The Foundation Center serves both grantseekers and grantmakers through their website and publications. Their searchable online database is invaluable for seeking grants, with information on grantmaking priorities, recent grants, key personnel, application requirements, and funding cycles.

Northern California Grantmakers
The association of grantmakers in Northern California. The site has an area called
"Giving Profile" that shows grantmaking trends -- who's giving to what, where, and when.

This organization offers free resources for grant seekers. Their website offers a good overview of how to develop a grant proposal, along with a list of further resources.
